A huge well done to all students at Trinity Academy, who last week managed to raise an amazing total of over £1200 on non-uniform day! Some of this money will be donated to Comic Relief.
The money will also go towards supporting our bursary students, Paskaria and Margaret, in Tanzania.
As readers of @academy will know, Trinity Academy has been sponsoring Paskaria William John, who otherwise would be unable to receive an education, and is the first child in her family to go to secondary school.
The whole academy community worked together to fundraise for Paskaria, and we are pleased to say we have now been able to sponsor a second student – Margaret, who arrived at Bunda Girl’s School in January. The two students were chosen for our bursary based on their high entrance exam results.
In February 2017, academy staff visited the school in Bunda, and we will be bringing updates of the girls’ progress soon.
The special partnership between Trinity Academy and Bunda Girl’s School demonstrates how our Christian values are making a difference beyond the local community.
Congratulations once again to our students who have raised enough to sponsor Paskaria and Margaret – we look forward to sharing further news of how our fundraising is helping to educate girls in Tanzania, making a significant difference to their lives.
