Sports Leaders run sporting events for local community

Our Sports Leaders have recently been busy organising a range of events for the local community and fellow students to enjoy. The most recent of these included planning the Trinity Academy college games and a special Sport Day for primary school children. Both events were a huge success – take a look at photos from last week’s primary schools Sport Day:

Our Sports Leaders are developing a huge range of skills, and the events they work on will become more challenging as their skills develop.

Earlier events they have worked on this year included a netball tournament for the North Halifax Federation and a football tournament. These helped the group to improve their organisation, confidence and time management skills in preparation for running bigger and more complex events. The group has also supported a ‘kwick cricket’ event at Illingworth Cricket Club which involved more than 70 competitors from across several different schools.
